Piano Solo is a journey through the piano keys that is renewed every night. Stefano Bollani’s music knows no boundaries, retracts all music genres and feeds on all those magical moments with tremendous artists the pianist has met on stages worldwide.
When Bollani goes on stage with his Piano Solo, there is only one rule: he pays tribute to the art of improvisation thanks to the ever-new combination of all the musical notes put together in these twenty years of Jam sessions. Every time with a different result, yet always incredible.

Kyle Eastwood was born into the profession. Now, he celebrates his renowned father by dedicating a complex and challenging project that reinterprets some of the highlights of actor/director Clint Eastwood. Kyle Eastwood – “Eastwood Symphonic” is the title of a new version of those movie soundtracks performed by Kyle’s quintet and an orchestral arrangement curated by conductor Gast Waltzing w/ Umbria Jazz Orchestra.
July 9 | Somi
With a sort of New African Jazz, Somi forms a bridge between the African roots and the American jazz and soul scene. The New York Times wrote: “African grooves, supple jazz singing and compassionate social consciousness; She is both serious and seductive”. A perfect synthesis.
July 9 | Herbie Hancock
An absolute music icon of the last six decades returns to Umbria Jazz. The word “icon” is often used in show business. However, most of the time, it is misused. No doubt about Herbie Hancock. The Chicago-based artist, crossed genres and styles – by playing a leading role – as a performer, composer, arranger, producer, talent scout, inventor of new trends, and influencer for more than a generation of musicians.
