Umbria Jazz brings Michelle David, to Terni: she is the new star of gospel and soul vocality.
Raised in New York, Michelle David started singing at the age of four in a church, as happened to many great jazz and black music singers. When she was five, she joined her first group, The Mission of Love. This debut paved the way for an extraordinary career, including the world tour of Broadway musical Mama and successful theatre shows such as The Sound of Motown, Glory of Gospel and Mahalia. She recorded for famous artists such as Diana Ross and Michael Bolton before releasing seven albums (the latest one was released a few months ago) with the True-Tones.
