Christmas in Jazz
The music along the streets of the town centers of Perugia and Orvieto from December 8th to January 6th.
The artists who have participated over the years in Umbria Jazz will act as the soundtrack in the town centers of Perugia and Orvieto during the Christmas holidays.
The idea of the local authorities of the festival’s historical towns was enthusiastically welcomed by the Fondazione Umbria Jazz, which put to work to create a custom playlist.
Having participated in Umbria Jazz and having played or sung Christmas songs are the two criteria which led to the selection of musicians and tracks.
A list of 50 songs will make the atmosphere more joyful and cheerful from December 8th to January 6th, despite the not completely over health emergency.
An extract of this compilation will also create a collection in collaboration with Warner Music Italy, entitled “Umbria Jazz Christmas”, available for digital download from December 18th.
Moreover, Orvieto will live, albeit in a symbolic way, the atmosphere of the unfortunately cancelled festival: cutouts of some artists in the collection will be in the streets of the town center.
