Born in 1952, Lee Ritenour has had a remarkable career spanning over fifty years: 45 albums, one Grammy Award, and nineteen nominations. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with music legends such as The Mamas & the Papas (he was only 16), Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins, Simon & Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Phil Collins, and notable Brazilian artists like Ivan Lins, Caetano Veloso, and Djavan.
A founding member of the supergroup Fourplay, this LA-based guitarist has successfully blended jazz, rock, Brazilian rhythms, and fusion, creating a unique style as shown by his latest two works: “Dreamcatcher” (2020), which is his only solo guitar record, and “Brasil”, recorded in São Paulo in 2023 alongside various Brazilian artists
