Sam Paglia

He calls himself the Italian Godfather of Hammond: Sam Paglia is the Italian way to this majestic instrument, which played a key role in soul jazz, black music, funky, R&B and gospel. His favorite album, from which Sam drew inspiration and focused his musical choices, is “The Sermon” by Jimmy Smith, pure 60s Blue Note style.

After his first bands performing in the clubs of the Romagna coast, Paglia develops a style for expressing his love for the Hammond organ and that kind of warm and emotionally engaging music, also with original songs (lounge and B movies). “The Hammond Organ is not just the most seductive instrument ever, it’s a way of life.”
