Jazz is commonly seen as a “serious” genre of music that is often complex, hard to play, and out of any temptation of easy listening. It’s not always like that. There has always been a kind of jazz that has fun, entertains, creates a good mood, seeks a relaxed approach, and encourages people to dance. The Good Fellas – with their rockin’ swing – are part of it. They are good musicians who know how to play swing and rock & roll, perfectly stepping into the role, recalling the 50s, and taking inspiration from icons such as Louis Prima, Louis Jordan and Elvis. Our mind goes back to that Italian-American genre by Fred Buscaglione and Renato Carosone and to Italy dreaming of America and its myths.
They are unmatched in their genre, and there is a reason why they have been touring festivals, theaters and pubs, featuring artists such as Ray Gelato and Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo since their foundation in 1993. The show’s quality is excellent and results from individual talent, making music together for many years and a detailed study of music.
