John Pattitucci is quite simply one of the greatest and most eclectic bassists of our time. He has played with an endless list of the great names of jazz, ranging from Stan Getz to Wynton Marsalis, from Herbie Hancock to Michael Brecker, and also with pop stars such as Sting, Natalie Cole, Carole King and Joao Gilberto. In Orvieto he is leading a quartet with an unusual lineup that features two electric guitarists, Adam Rogers and Steve Cardenas. It is the same group that appears on his latest recording, named in honour of the place he grew up in, Brooklyn.
